How much money could your business be missing?
First, so the numbers start somewhere sensible
What do you do?
Where does the work happen?
It decides whether we ask you about driving at all.
How big is it?
Pick whichever is closest. It only decides what the boxes start at, and every figure is yours to change on the next screen.
These are round starting figures to get you going, not industry averages — we have not measured your business or your trade. Change every one of them to what is actually true for you; the results are only ever your own numbers worked out.
What this is, and what it is not
Your numbers, not ours
Four kinds of money, kept apart
No promise attached
The lists behind each figure
Each result points at the part of the product that keeps that list, and every one of those has a guide with a recording you can watch without an account. All the guides are free to read, and the calculators run the same code the invoices do.
If what you want is the one screen that gathers all of it, that is Revenue Radar: the enquiries, quotes, jobs and invoices that have gone quiet, on one page, ranked by what is worth your morning.
Questions, answered
Is this really free, and do I have to sign up?
Free, and no. There is no account, no card and no email address — the results appear on the page as soon as you have answered. You can ask for a written copy afterwards if you want one, and that is the only point at which anybody asks who you are.
Where do the numbers come from?
Entirely from you. Every figure is your own answers multiplied out, and every assumption is on screen and editable. Nothing here is an industry average or a benchmark, because we have not measured your trade and a number we cannot stand behind is worth less than none.
Why are the totals not added together?
Because the same job can appear in more than one of them. Work moves along one line — enquiry, quote, job, invoice — so adding the stages up counts the same pound twice and produces a headline figure that is simply false. Work you have not won, money already earned that is not moving, your own time, and work you did without charging are different things. The only sum the page makes is between the two that are genuinely the same kind of money — turnover you are not invoicing — so it can be compared with what the software costs.
Does TaskMyJob promise to recover this money?
No, and anybody who does is guessing. What the software does is keep the lists: the enquiry nobody answered, the quote nobody chased, the won job with no date on it and the invoice past its day. Seeing them is the part that is missing in most businesses; what you do about them is yours.
What if my answers are rough?
Rough is fine and is what most people have. Change any of them afterwards without starting again — the point is the shape of it rather than the decimal places, and if two of your answers cannot both be true the check says so rather than quietly producing a bigger number.
What happens to what I type in?
Nothing leaves your browser unless you ask for the written copy. If you do, we keep what you typed with your request so somebody can answer it sensibly — and whether we may email you about anything else is a separate tick box that is off to start with.
